You may argue that Mario Advance is old fashioned, but it’s a testament to the strength of the gameplay that it still pulls you in and keeps you fixed to your Game Boy.

There are tons of bright, varied colors and it’s definitely eye-candy. This isn’t the best I’ve seen (Iridion 3D, Pitfall and Tony Hawk 2 look incredible) but it’s still pretty. I still can’t believe this is all on a handheld.

The music is a wonderful addition and overall the game is just entertaining. Even the instruction manual is colorful and thorough.

My overall experience with Mario Advance was a good one even though it lacks originality. It’s a blast from the past – the control even feels the same – and it brought back some fond gaming memories.

Super Mario Advance might be nothing more than a beefed-up port of an old game, but hell, it’s a Nintendo classic.

It's not new, but it still provides more fun than most games you currently find on the market.

IGN

You've already seen it all, and much that's new has an empty, unsatisfying air about it that there should be lots more of this good stuff. But if you do pick up Super Mario Advance, I can pretty much promise you won't regret it for a second.

The best version of Super Mario 2/Mario Brothers on the market. If that’s what you’re looking for, buy this game. If you’re expecting more than a port of a ten year old game, though, you may be disappointed.

If you think back to the days when you plunked quarter after quarter into the SM series of games (or played them on the NES) with fondness, you'll have a ball reliving it with a fresh coat of paint.

My advice -- hold on to your $30 until Nintendo releases the inevitable sequels to Super Mario Advance featuring games far worthier of another look.

Mr. Anonymous gave it an8:
A good game, but not too much the best. I've never liked Mario Bros. too much...The inclusion of a new SMB2 is just fantastic! This is a quick reveiw that I'm rushing through, so I can't really give a huge verdict, but overall, it deserves an 8. Mario bros docks down a point, and the odd boss fights knock it down a point.

John M. gave it a10:
Monkeys couldn't tear me away from this game!!!

Sick Rick gave it an 8:
Playing this game brought back memories, I can still see myself sitting on the old couch in my feet pjs with the look of determination in my wee little eyes.

Alston D. gave it a 1:
The graphics are very dissappointing on this game, considering the stupidly high price, and the game can get very fustrating at times.

B. S. gave it a 3:
The graphics are average controls, music are awesome but it gets real tiring real fast and this system has enough power to put in way more games than 2 (we're not stupid, this system has a lot of power) I can't explain this rating maybe it got some points for the good link game but it just gets so boring so fast cause you've played this before. I highly RECOMEND RENT THIS FIRST!!
