David G. gave it a10:
Razor sharp, smoking hot lyrics, guitar and vocals. This whole album is a tour de force treasure that gets better every time through. A masterpiece.
Kris Stockmyer gave it a10:
Lindsey Buckingham has often been called a “mad genius.” Never before has Buckingham’s brilliance, creativity, intensity, and outright weirdness been more on display than on Gift of Screws. I highly recommend it!
Chuck U gave it a9:
An excellent follow up to Under the Skin. Lindsey will never be a huge solo star because his music is too quirky for the average listener. This album rocks harder than Under the Skin but still is rooted in the amazing guitar style that he has been perfecting over the years. Smart, offbeat, literate pop by one of music's true geniuses.
